Who we are
Verses (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a Bible meditation app made by Woven Studio. If you have a question or a request about your data, email support@wovenstudio.app.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account with email, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from them (Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one). Your display name is optional and is only used to greet you in the app.
Content you create. Playlists, the verses in them, per-verse notes, playlist shares you send or receive, and any custom moods and their verses.
Preferences. Playback speed, narration voice, default translation, and light/dark theme. These are stored on your device. Playlists and account data are stored on our backend.
On-device files. Verse audio you choose to download for offline listening is stored only on your device, and is removed when you clear downloads or delete the app.
Technical data. Like any online service, the providers listed below see standard connection data (such as your IP address and app version) when the app contacts them. We do not use it to track you.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or device sensor data. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools.
How we use your data
- To provide the app: sign you in, sync your playlists, generate verse audio, and let you share playlists with other Verses users you choose.
- To send account emails you request: sign-up confirmation and password reset.
- To deliver app updates and fixes.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers
These companies process data on our behalf, only to run the app:

If narrated audio is later provided by another provider, we will update this list.
Sharing between users
If you share a playlist, the person you share it with (identified by the email address you enter) gets read-only access to that playlist’s name, verses and notes. If that person doesn’t have an account yet, we keep a pending invitation tied to their email address, which turns into access when they sign up with it. You can revoke a share at any time, and recipients can leave a shared playlist. No other data is shared between users.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and everything linked to it at any time from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account in the app. This removes your account, playlists, verses, notes, shares and custom moods from our systems and cannot be undone. You can also email support@wovenstudio.app to ask us to delete your account.
Security
Data travels between the app and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, not in plain text.
Children
Verses is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Account deletion is built into the app as described above. For any other request, email support@wovenstudio.app.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email.
